Re-Think

 We have decided to change our promotional package and the storyline of the film. This is because we didn't think that the story of the film or the teaser trailer would be strong enough to be successful in the competitive market. Therefore we have created a new storyline and will be creating a new teaser trailer, film magazine and poster
Here are the previous pieces of the promotional package for our film;

Making the newspaper scene

Part of our trailer involves a car crash scene, so to show this we are going to briefly film some homemade newspaper articles on the disaster. Here is the process and the actual articles that will be used.




The images;

We got a template for the newspaper front covers from the website 'Online Newspaper Templates' (http://www.cleo.net.uk/index.php?category_id=317) and we will adapt this to suit our concept.

Costume

'George'

These tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt are similar to the ones that we used during the filming of our teaser trailer. We paired these together to illustrate to the audience, through the use of the colour black, that he is an upset, confused and angry character that needs help. Also by using just the one neautral colour it puts more of a focus on what is actually happening and the character's emotions.

We also asked the actor to grow a bit of stubble to give the impression that he doesn't care about his appearence and give him more of a messy look.


'Young George'
We asked the children who were acting as 'young George' and his friends to be dressed in their school uniform as a uniform gives them the identity that they are part of a group, in this case a school, which is what we were trying to aim for as it makes it look like George had a wonderful life before the disaster. 
Also a uniform is made to make people look smart and make it seem like they care about their appearance, which emphasis's the change in costume later on in the movie/ teaser trailer.





Teenager's Parents
We used an existing photograph of the 'teenager's parents' on their wedding day as it made it look more realistic and natural. Although when searching for the photo we wanted the bride and groom to be wearing typical wedding outfits, i.e a black suit and a long white dress, and to be looking very happy.

Songs that may have appeared in our teaser trailer (if they weren't copy righted)

We thought that these songs would have worked really well with the trailer (if they weren't copyrighted) because they all talk about the issues that the main character in the film is thinking about. Also they aren't very upbeat songs but still have the breakdown near the end, which would match perfectly with the onscreen events. We were mainly looking at the genre of rock/ indie/ punk music because it is kind of an 'indie' film and because pop music or dance music just wouldn't fit in with the story line.

Recce Shots

Football Field

This is where we are going to be doing the football scene where George is being put onto the shoulders of his team mates. We thought this would be a good location as it is an actual football pitch which is large and has a nice background. The astro turf pitch (the picture to the right) is our back up location for this scene just in case the grass is slippy and wet.The sports hall is our other back up location (to the right, below) if the weather is not on our side and delays us from filming.

The Pub

Here is the pub where George will be thrown out of. It is ideal as it looks like a typical pub with the name hanging on a sign above the doorway, a cellar door and a specials board on the outside. We have not yet decided on whether we are going to film this scene during the day or night as both create a strong effect.

We were initially going to be filming this scene outside the local theatre (to the right) as the stone walled part of the building looked like a pub, but we thought that just filming a real pub would be a lot easier and effective.


The Bedroom

This is where we are planning on doing the scene where George is sat alone on his bed and is looking at photographs of his parents, trophies and is contemplating taking the drugs. It is a typical teenage boys room, but we plan to add a lot of empty beer cans on the floor to illustrate the situation that he is in.
